Mike J. Parnham

Mike Parnham is a British research pharmacologist and university teacher. His work, both at universities and as a manager and consultant for several companies, has taken him and his family to various countries across Europe, including England, the Netherlands, Germany, and Croatia. This mobility broadened the family’s language, culture, and spiritual understanding. Brought up in a conservative Evangelical environment, he has, during his career, been a lay preacher, teacher, deacon, and elder in Brethren, Baptist, Pentecostal, and Charismatic churches. He and his wife, Elaine, a schoolteacher, lived for the past 13 years in Zagreb, Croatia, where their vision for Christian unity developed. They pursued this vision by helping organize interdenominational prayer meetings, home groups, and interchurch activities. Mike and Elaine live in Germany where he accepted a research position. They have four adult children (and one grandchild) who are also actively involved in different forms of church building in the United Kingdom and the Netherlands.
